Moraira boasts a coastline of clean, transparent water with several Blue Flag beaches. From the town's sandy beach to sheltered coves tucked among the rocks, here are the best for your next getaway.
Moraira's jewel: a horseshoe-shaped cove with fine sand and shallow, calm, turquoise water. Perfect for families and for swimming. Around it you'll find restaurants and beach bars with views. Arrive early in summer — it's small and very popular.
The main beach, right in the centre next to the marina. Sandy, with a Blue Flag, a seafront promenade, showers and full facilities. Ideal if you want a beach with all the conveniences, steps from bars and shops.
A cluster of small sand-and-shingle coves, a little quieter, linked by a pleasant seaside walk. A good option to escape the bustle without leaving the town behind.
Moraira's rocky shoreline — such as the Cap Blanc area and the coves next to El Portet — offers clear water ideal for snorkelling and diving. Bring water shoes and a mask: you'll see fish just metres from the shore.
A few minutes away lie more gems: Cala Moraig in Benitatxell, with its deep water and cliffs; and coves neighbouring L'Ampolla. A little further, the famous Granadella and Ambolo (Jávea) or the beaches of Calpe.
The sea is pleasant roughly from June to October. In July and August, arrive early to park and find a spot. Many coves are rock or shingle, so water shoes are a great idea. And don't forget water, shade and sun cream.
Our apartments — Casa Oliver and Casa Luca — are a few minutes from Moraira's beaches, with a communal pool. The perfect place to come back to after a swim and relax.
